Fumbling the Bag
Dennis Schröder's career has taken him many places. Germany, Boston, Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Los Angeles again, even Oklahoma City.
With such a career comes plenty of experiences, good and bad. Some, however, are worse than others.
In 2021, there were reports that the Los Angeles Lakers offered him a four-year extension worth $84 million dollars. Not top of the league money...but let's just say he wouldn't have to buy shoes at Payless.
Schröder decided to bet on himself in search for a more lucrative free agent deal. His most recent contract was worth approximately $5 million.
Bag, meet fumble.
Next time your bet comes up short, take a deep breath. You'll be out a unit. One dollar, 10 dollars, maybe $100. Just a hair under $79 million.
